1973 — graduated from the Department of Therapeutics, the Moscow Medical Stomatology Institute named after N.A. Semashko, and completed pre-internship training in General Surgery.
1973–1974 — graduated from clinical residency in Ophthalmology and Ophthalmic Surgery at the Department of Eye Diseases, MMSI named after N.A.Semashko (Head of the Department - S.N. Fyodorov).
1976–1992 — worked as a leading researcher in the ‘Eye Microsugery’ Interbranch Scientific and Technical Complex at the department headed by S.N. Fyodorov. Dr Pashinova also headed his surgical group and worked as an ophthalmic surgeon.
1983 — defended Ph.D. thesis on ‘Comparative assessment of intraocular lens fixing techniques’.
1988–1992 — was repeatedly invited to the leading eye hospitals in Europe (France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, and Switzerland) and in the USA to do the advanced training, as well to perform demo eye surgeries and to lecture on the latest achievements in the Russian ophthalmology.
1989–1991 — worked as a chief advisor ophthalmologist at ‘Peter I’ Floating Eye Clinic in Dubai (UAE) and in Cyprus.
1992–1993 — worked at Al-Ansi Ophthalmological Hospital (Sana, Yemen).
1994–1997 — worked as a leading researcher at the All-Russian Centre for Disaster Medicine “Zaschita”, Ministry of Public Health of the Russian Federation.
Since 1997 — Ophthalmologist-in-chief at the Excimer Eye Clinic in Moscow.
1999 — defended M.D.`s thesis on ‘Organizational and methodological principles of providing ophthalmologic assistance and care in emergency situations’.
Nadezhda F. Pashinova applies all methods of modern ophthalmic diagnostics (auto- refractive kerametry, tonometry, computer perimetry, keratopography, ultrasound diagnostics, computer analysis of the eye fundus, etc.) and performs all types of eye bulb surgeries. She has performed over 30,000 eye surgeries with more than 5,000 abroad, including surgeries for cataract and glaucoma, retinal detachment repairs, and vitreoretinal surgeries, phacoemulsification with IOL implantation, all types of refractive surgeries (including intraocular refractive surgeries and excimer laser surgeries), cornea transplantation, reconstructional surgeries, ocular adnexal surgeries, and others.
Nadezhda F. Pashinova is the author of 64 publications and 8 inventions.
As an ophthalmic surgeon, Nadezhda F. Nadezhda F. Pashinova is a member of the International Refractive Surgery Club (USA), the International Society of Ocular Trauma (Israel), the International Society of Cataract Microsurgeons (Sweden) and the Russian Ophthalmic Society.
