So, you have made an appointment by phone or online and are planning to have a comprehensive diagnostic testing. Although diagnostics is the main step on the way to your sharp vision, you do not have to prepare so carefully for it as, for example, you have to prepare for excimer laser correction or cataract surgeries…
Prior to diagnostic testing
Diagnostics is aimed at receiving the most complete picture of the condition of your vision. If you want to receive the correct data, you should make sure you take off your hard lenses in advance – two weeks before the test. If you wear soft lenses, you do not have to take them off in advance: you can do it just before the test right in the Excimer Eye Clinic. (Additional examinations and tests for the laser vision correction parameters – if decided – can be done right before the correction).
On the day diagnostic testing
- Avoid using make-up;
- Avoid drinking alcohol;
- Make sure you have your passport or ID along;
- Take previous check results with you if you have them;
- At the reception you will be asked to fill in the contract. Please take a copy for yourself.
You will have to spend at least two hours in the clinic. Some examinations require pupil dilation, so please bear in mind that it might be uncomfortable for you to drive your car after the test. Our doctors also recommend you to bring your sunglasses along.
